My Savior

Jesus Christ my savior
The one who rescued me from the embers of fire.
He is with me day and night.
He sheltered me on my darkest days.
Showed me the light of happiness.
He is the reason why I am still alive.
He makes me believe in rising up once more when the tides are high.
In Him I find comfort and joy.
Even though I may stray away from Him from time to time,
Somehow I always go back to Him.

Happy Easter Sunday everyone! 🙂

How to to create a religious group to share God’s love

Hello Everyone:)!

I want to share with you this topic about creating your own religious group, it is something that has helped me grow closer to God and Jesus Christ in a meaningful way that I never imagined would happen to me, but it did and I can truly say I am so blessed and happy to have joined a youth and young adult group in my local church. Anyone from any age and religion can create a religious group of their own where you and other members of the group can share and spread God’s love and bible teachings to others who might want to learn more about the bible, or Jesus. Creating a group like this, will help you grow closer to God and meet others who are far from Him, or are already faithful to Him, but want to spread his love to others who do not know Him yet as their savior, but are curious.

In Hebrew 10:25 it reads:

“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

When everyone in a Christian group encourages each other no matter what age they are, where they are with their knowledge of God and the bible; it makes a positive difference in God and Jesus’s eyes when they see everyone helping each other out in a meaningful way.

As a group, make some time to pray together at the beginning and then at the end of each group session, doing this will make you feel like you just welcomed God and Jesus in your day, then as a farewell to God and Jesus at the end. Group praying will also strengthen and encourage each person in the group.
On the good days, thank God for all of the wonderful gifts he has given you; on the bad days, remind each of you of the great things God has done for us, to keep living for Him.

You can shine a light into other people around you.

Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.”
-1 Peter 2:12

A religious group definitely has helped me in a spiritual and motivating way to grow more in my Catholic faith. Before, I only knew that Jesus and God existed but was not fully close to my faith in them both.
I hope that this post sparks a little motivation to start one.
You simply can invite as many people as you want into your group and share your own life stories of your relationship with God and Jesus, do bible readings, discussing with each other a weekly bible passage, watch or listen motivational movies about Jesus and religious music. Create your own retreat group trips.

The God of Fashion

Hello Everyone,

When we feel lonely, worried, or are facing our own problems in life, we tend to turn to materialistic things such as: money, clothes, sex, or other negative things that temporarily satisfy us, they make us feel better and help us forget about our problems for a while. It is time for us to seek Jesus when we feel lost and short on His faith; instead of looking at material things as our Gods to happiness. Learning to recognize Jesus as my savior was something that I learned the hard way because back then I did not know much about Jesus; I was not close to Him as my savior. I would worry a lot about trying to look good by wearing the latest fashion clothes, or only wanting to go to the mall to buy the greatest quality clothes that was kind of expensive. I often wanted to look at materialistic things as my saviors to happiness and false confidence.

The Fashion Idolatry Prayer:
“O fashion, O great redeemer
Save us from our misery
Heal our brokenness
Take away our loneliness
Extinguish our ugliness
Give us value and worth
That we may feel beautiful
And all our problems will disappear
You are our savior and god
And we will purchase you all of our days.”

-(Taken from Fervr.net)

What is Idolatry?
Idolatry means putting more importance in something instead of focusing your whole heart in Jesus Christ as your savior everyday.

How God describes idolatry as:

My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.”
-Jeremiah 2:13

We all need God just like we all need the air to be able to breathe. God can give us what we need, only Him, no other thing can replace Him.

Is Fashion your God?

As you think about this, ask yourself these questions:

1. Are you trying to get something from fashion that only Jesus can give?

2. Are you using fashion to try and make yourself feel valuable? Or looking to the infinite value Jesus has given you?

3. Are you using fashion to take away your loneliness? Or looking for the love of Jesus?

“Fashion is a poor God. Jesus is infinitely better.”

Prayer to turn to Jesus:

“Jesus, O great Redeemer
Save us from our eternal misery.
Heal our brokenness
Take away our loneliness
Extinguish our ugliness
You give us value and worth
Now we are beautiful in your eyes
And all our sins will disappear
You are our savior and God
And we will worship you all of our days.”

Forty days of Lent: What it Means to Me

Hello Everyone! 🙂

Today I went to Sunday church Mass, even on this cloudy day it still felt good to go. I was kind of afraid it might rain but it did not, it was cloudy and cold February day. I did not care if it was raining, I still would of gone to church Mass.
Today is the first day of Lent which reminds me of the importance of growing closer to God and to repent, to turn toward the Lord. I read the church bulletin after Mass, and learned that “to convert” means to turn toward.” To turn towards God and Jesus Christ. We have to turn our hearts towards God. Personally, this is something I have to work on because sometimes I feel like I am not yet fully connected with God and Jesus Christ. I am learning not to turn to negative people and things and more on God and Jesus.
I learned the hard way that praying and turning to Jesus is essential in order to have faith in Him and have Him in your life because He is the Savior.
Will you give up something these 40 days of Lent?
Me I will only give up thinking negative thoughts and always be surrounded with happiness, positivity, faith, and hope. I want to make these forty days and beyond, the best years of my life. I want to feel God’s presence in my life.

December 23, 2014

Hello Everyone :-)!

December 23 was such a great and awesome day 🙂 I cannot stop thinking about how motivating and wonderful it was to reunite with an old friend and spend time with Jesus Christ. I am so glad I decided to go visit my friend Mayra’s Christian church that is in Chino, California. I met Mayra’s whole family, they are all involved in the

church that they go to that it even inspired me to go back to volunteering as a lector in my church, St. Angela Merici.

The kids that go to the church did really great Christmas performances both in dancing and singing. There was also a twenty-two year-old young men who sings Christian music, his name is Alvinson, he only sang in Spanish so I was able to understand and enjoy the music he was playing 🙂 Christian music always gets me in the spirit of Jesus Christ.

The food was awesome, but all in all what really mattered was that I got to spend it with my friend Mayra, Jesus Christ, and meet some new friends.

Motivational Quotes for Today

Hello Everyone :-)!

Hope you have all had a great weekend, mine as always was relaxing and busy at the same time 🙂 which I like because it keeps me from not getting bored.

I know how sometimes we wish our life were easy and simple with no problems, worries, or tribulations invading us.

But thank God there are quotes that exist in this world to motivate us to keep on holding on to the Spirit of Jesus Christ and His Father God.

Here are some quotes that I found really motivational:

” God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” -1Tim 2:4

” You cannot imagine at all how much you interest God; he is interested in you as if there were no one else on earth.” -Julien Green (French writer)

” One must know man and human things in order to love them. One must love God and divine things in order to know them.” -Blaise Pascal ( French mathematician, and philosopher)

“God is love.” -1 Jn 4:16b

” The measure of love is love without measure.” -St. Francis of Sales. (Distinguished bishop, brilliant spiritual guide, founder of the religious community, and Doctor of the church)

You Are My God

Hello Everyone :-)!

I want to share with you a poem that I wrote this Summer during my trip to Steubenville in San Diego with my church youth group. It was a three day weekend full of fun and celebration of how God is joy and true happiness. As a catholic I have come to realize that I need Him more than ever.

You are my God,
My Savior
The one who rescued me
From the dark hole
That I was stuck in.
Like a little girl,
I was scared and lost.

You are my God,
My Savior
The one who rescued me
From the deep wide
Sea of loneliness and doubt.

You are my God,
You shine a light
On my darkest days,
Your words of comfort
Renew my mind and soul,
They give me the confidence
That I truly need.
Faith in you is all I need,
Nothing else.

You are my God,
My only true friend.
Nothing else can compare
To the immense love You
Have for us all.
Even though we sometimes
Shy away from your love,
You amazingly never cease
To give up on us.
You only know,
That deep inside of us
There is this huge love
That we have for You
That will never fade.

You are my God.
You are my Savior.

My Sunday Mass Experience

Hello Everyone! 🙂

I always like going to Sunday Church Mass at the beautiful St. Angela Merici church in Brea, California; although I live in La Habra, It still is not far from where I live which is great because eversince I took my first communion and confirmation class when I was 20 years old (yeah did not do it when I was a young girl) I wanted to choose a church were I would belong and feel a part of it, and at the same time grow on my Catholic faith, and Jesus more, so upon discovering the Sunday Mass services at St. Angela Merici, I discovered that the services are so full of joy, hope, and faith. Their music during mass always give me a sence of peace and joy. The speeches from the Deacons always make me think and reflect deeply on my own life, and what I can do to improve the next time.

I used to think that Sunday Church Masses were rather boring and would make me fall asleep, but now I truly try to focus on the Mass activities and on Jesus because He is the sole reason why I am still living and will not let go off me, no matter what.

Glitter my Life

Before darkness was my only friend, loneliness always following me.
But when I discovered Jesus as my Savior he filled me with His true love, a love that will never be replaced.
Friends come and go but now I truly know that You will always be watching over me.
I am going to glitter my life because now I believe in Jesus.
He is the Savior the one who rescued me from the darkness, and the never ending sea of loneliness. In Him I have learned to put my struggles, and to trust. Whenever I pray to Him I feel that my life is full of promise and chances to take without fear.

Yes I will glitter my life without fear.
